Obituary for Wallace Estill Hickman

Heaven gained another angel. Wallace E. Hickman, 81 of Maysville passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on July 6, 2019. Wallace was a long-time employee of Wald’s Manufacturing as well as a former business owner of Rudy’s Roller Rink in Lewisburg and the Little Chef Restaurant in Plumville.

Mr. Hickman was enjoying retirement with his dog Bingo, walking all around Maysville. He also enjoyed peckin’ out tunes on his keyboard, yellow roses and inventing new things in his workshop. He was a devoted Christian.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and son, he is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Keal Hickman, two daughters Molly Hickman and Lora Hitt, both of Maysville. Grandchildren include Brad Crawford (Renee), KaSandra Hickman, Anthony Tyler Hitt (Kierston), Rian Hitt, and Courtney Hitt. Great grandchildren include Kaylee, Logan and Bayleigh Crawford, Marquise Kirk, Mylah and Mauri Cloyd, Emmaline and Kendall Hitt, Jaxton Cooper and Leiland Bauer. He also has a surviving sister, Mary Ginn in CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews all over the US.

Mr. Hickman was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Irma Hickman, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Dorothy Moran, Edward Hickman, Geraldine Moran, Eugene Hickman and Delores Hickman. He was also preceded by three nephews and a niece, Rudy Hickman, David Hickman, Devona Hickman and Danny Brown.

Wallace’s Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brell and Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Rawlings officiating.

Visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Brad Crawford; Anthony Tyler Hitt; Wade Cloyd; Leroy Gallenstein, III; Paul Gallenstein and Larry Hickman. Honorary pallbearers include Kelly Bush and Rian Hitt.

Mr. Hickman was a supporter of Boy’s Town USA and the local Salvation Army. Donations in his name can be made to these two organizations.
