Mr. Legge

Maysville - Charles David Legge, 76, passed away Monday March 4, 2019 at Premier Estates of Cincinnati Riverside.

Mr. Legge was born January 14, 1943 in Maysville to the late Charles Raymond and Mary Aleene Hornback. He was a 1962 graduate of Maysville High School, following graduation David worked for East End Construction until he joined the US Army where after 16 weeks of AIT training he was shipped out to Friedburg, Germany, serving there from March 1964 to April 1967. Upon his return to Maysville, he went to work for Browning Manufacturing where he retired after 35 years.

In 1993 David married his wife of 24 years, Wilma Brammer Legge. He took care of Wilma, who was ill for many years prior to her death in September, 2016. He was a fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, who he followed closely and he loved his animals, Peppie his dog and Socks his cat. David was a member of the Central Methodist Church, the VFW, the Boy Scouts of America and the Lake Charles Association.

Survivors include his sister, Barbara Ann and husband Roy Moore of Cincinnati; his nephews, Mac Bryan Moore, Deron Lee Moore, and Warren K. Moore all of the Cincinnati area; Wilma’s sons, Kenny and wife Sue Brammer and their children, Joe and Margaret and Jackie and his wife Brenda and their son Ben; and several extended family members.

In addition to his wife and parents, David is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hornback and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Legge; and several aunts and uncles.

Services for Charles David Legge will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday march 11, 2019 at Brell & Son Funeral Home with Warren Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Maysville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.

Pallbearers will be David’s best friend, Charlie Detro, along with Kenny, Jackie, and Ben Brammer, Mac and Deron Moore. Lee and Blake Moore will serve as honorary pallbearers.
